• A Big 5 luxury lodge in Greater Addo, Eastern Cape is seeking a motivated and professional Chef de Partie to join their kitchen team.
• The successful candidate will assist with the daily kitchen operation, preparing high-quality meals to luxury lodge standards while maintaining excellent food quality, presentation, hygiene and consistency.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or similar kitchen position
• Luxury lodge, hotel or safari experience advantageous
• Good knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
• Understanding of luxury hospitality and presentation standards
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent quality
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Reliable, professional and well presented
• Passionate about food and hospitality
• Ability to work under pressure
• Strong team player with a positive attitude
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Comfortable working and living in a remote lodge environment

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and cook meals to lodge standards
• Assist with daily kitchen preparation and service
• Maintain consistent food quality and presentation
• Assist with breakfast, lunch and dinner service
• Prepare meals for special occasions and guest requests
• Cater for dietary requirements as required
• Maintain excellent kitchen hygiene and cleanliness
• Follow food safety and health standards
• Assist with stock rotation, storage and portion control
• Minimise food wastage
• Keep workstations clean and organised
• Assist senior chefs with menu preparation and service
• Ensure kitchen equipment is used correctly
• Work closely with the kitchen and lodge teams
• Remain hands-on and assist wherever required

PACKAGE:

• Salary: R6,000 – R8,000 per month
• Live-in accommodation provided
• Meals provided
