Job Purpose
- The Talent & Learning Manager is in charge of Talent acquisition and development, understands market strategies, CBU needs (South Africa, Ghana, Francos and Nigeria) and strategic orientations, as well as HR market trends. The role’s key objective is to attract and select the right people and to:
Business Strategy
- Understand and roll out market Recruitment and Talent strategies
- Define talent acquisition, on-boarding and development strategy in line with HR Strategic vision/targets, business needs, and local context to:
- Conduct recruitment activities consistent with HR ambitions
- Translate business strategy into long-term talent need
- Conduct effective day to day talent management actions
- Support business transformation with adequate Talent Management
Innovation best practise
- Stay abreast of the latest developments, best practices and trends to bring leading edge expertise to Danone
- Conduct benchmark/strategic monitoring
- Leverage and promote use of digital tools/resources, community management
Talent Management
- Connect and build a strong relationship with HRBP/OD and team leaders to understand their needs and challenge/influence decision making
- Juggle different priorities/stakeholders across CBU and ensure fairness between markets
- Build relationships with external partner (e.g. head hunters agency) and other Danone HR teams (e.g CBS learning, region Talent…)
- Represent Danone brand image and attractiveness, both internally and externally. Localize the employer branding strategy, with GS teams
- Coach & challenge team leaders/head of functions & CBU HR (e.g. cross WBU-mobility or profiles)
- Link with Learning team to ensure that talent development needs are aligned with the CBU needs & Succession planning
Learning
- Craft annual learning plan to represent business needs
- Monitor deployment and measure return on investment
- Utilise technology to manage and report on annual plans
People & Teams
- Lead a team of 5 professionals
- Demonstrate empathy and respect people. Develop authentic relationships, through generous listening & straight talk
- Adopt and foster a collaborative mind-set with CBU Teams, use process improvement strategies to increase collaboration effectiveness among different teams
- Promote diversity within the organization and educates others to do so to build high performing and diverse teams
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Completed HR Related Degree
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably overseeing Sub-Saharan Africa
- Experience with HRIS, Sourcing and Recruitment Marketing tools
- Experience in driving bespoke learning programmes from a multi-country perspective
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Lead with right values i.e. humanism, openness, proximity and enthusiasm
