Job Purpose

• The Business Head is responsible for the overall leadership, management, profitability, and strategic direction of the business. The role ensures that operational, financial, sales, and people objectives are achieved while maintaining compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best business practices.

 Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership

• Develop and implement business strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Identify opportunities for growth, expansion, and operational improvement.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Operational Management

• Oversee daily business operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure all departments meet established performance standards.
• Implement and monitor operational policies and procedures.
• Manage resources effectively to achieve business objectives.

Financial Management

• Develop and manage annual budgets.
• Monitor revenue, costs, and profitability.
• Review financial reports and take corrective action where necessary.
• Ensure effective cost control and financial sustainability.

Sales and Business Development

• Drive sales growth and achievement of revenue targets.
• Develop and maintain key customer and stakeholder relationships.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Support the development and execution of marketing and sales strategies.

 People Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop management teams.
• Ensure effective workforce planning and succession planning.
• Promote employee engagement and a positive workplace culture.
• Address employee performance, conduct, and development matters.

Compliance and Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with labour legislation, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
• Identify and manage business risks.
• Implement controls to safeguard company assets and reputation.
• Ensure adherence to governance and reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements
Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Commerce, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) advantageous.

Experience

• Minimum of 8 to 10 years’ management experience.
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Experience managing budgets, operations, and people.
• Manufacturing, distribution, or industrial experience advantageous.
