Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Technical Support Engineer. This entry-level role is perfect for someone eager to grow in the industrial automation field, providing technical support and assisting with troubleshooting and product installations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in technical support, preferably within the industrial automation industry.
- National Diploma in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Computer Systems Engineering, or related field).
- Basic knowledge of PLC programming and SCADA development.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals and wireless networking is a plus.
- Understanding of PoE-based solutions like IP Cameras and IP Phones is beneficial.
Desired Attributes:
- South African citizen with a valid ID and driver’s license.
- Strong interest in learning and developing technical skills in industrial automation.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- Proficient in basic Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Willingness to occasionally travel for work-related activities.
