JOB OBJECTIVES:

  • To conceptualise, create and write copy that best communicates business objectives to the target audience – across digital channels in the market and within the business [internal communication, internal promotions].
  • To understand the target audiences for each brief.
  • To understand and timely execute briefs from brands by creating, sourcing and editing content in response to the requirements. To consistently adhere to the brand’s guidelines at all times, especially style and tone of voice and ensure consideration of cultural differences. 
  • Develop concise, engaging and creative content that is SEO optimised across multiple online/digital channels, such as email, social media, web, blog, video and DM.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure the content compliments the design, channel and offline content and where appropriate, ensure campaign content is integrated across all online/digital/offline channels and enhances the customer journey.
  • Proactively drive best practice and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Stay up to date with digital/online copy execution, including latest SEO trends including producing keyword research to heighten organic search engine rankings.
  • Manage and prioritise individual time allocation to deliver multiple brand briefs to deadlines.
  • To be accountable for accurate proofreading and checking across all media.

Minimum requirements

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Great command of the English language
  • A good understanding of digital marketing and search engine optimisation (SEO) and understanding of HTML or WordPress
  • Excellent writing skills including ability to write in different styles and to direction: [style, content, creativity]
  • Ability to interpret a brief, conceptualise and produce creative solutions
  • Accurate proofreading skills – great attention to detail
  • Flexibility to be able to adapt content to different audiences and for different platforms

JOB EXPERIENCE

  • 3 – 5 years minimum experience preferably as a digital copywriter within an advertising agency or communications environment/company
  • Experience producing content for a variety of marketing channels – e.g. Blogs, Articles, and Emails, Social Media posts and Websites and video

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma in copywriting
  • BA with major subjects in English, and one other Language, Psychology , Creative writing, Journalism, Digital marketing,
