Nursing Manager needed at Mediclinic

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

• The Nursing Manager leads and directs the nursing service in the hospital, including patient safety and patient experience and the management of human and other resources.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Compile, implement and monitor the hospital-specific nursing strategy
• Drive and support a culture of quality nursing care and patient safety
• Manage resources to ensure optimal operational efficiency
• Manage the patient experience
• Lead and manage people in the nursing department
• Manage key stakeholder relations 

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: 

• Professional Nurse qualification and Postgraduate Diploma in Health Services Management or an Accredited Management Qualification
• Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing when managing a specialist hospital (e.g. Mental Healthcare)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:  

• 5 years’ Professional Nurse Experience in a hospital
• 2 years’ Nursing Management Experience
