The Role
- As a Cyber Security Analyst, reporting to the Director of Architecture, you will be responsible for monitoring, analysing, and responding to cyber threats and incidents that affect our network and systems.
- You will also co-ordinate vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, to identify and mitigate risks and assist with compliance activities.
- You will work closely with other security, engineering, and product teams to develop and implement security policies, procedures, best practices and to support security audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring and analysing Cyber Security events and incidents that occur on the network and systems.
- Identifying and responding to cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities
- Supporting security assessments and tests
- Developing and maintaining cybersecurity analytics reporting to enable business posture and operational improvement
- Supporting internal and external security related assurance activities as applicable for relevant business areas
- Identification, reporting and documentation of security issues, incidents, and resolutions relevant to the business and its operations
- Supporting and enabling security awareness within relevant areas of the business and its operations
- Industry and market research on the latest security trends, threats, and solutions as relevant and applicable and their implementation into business and operational improvement efforts
Knowledge, skills and experience required:
- You have at least 3 years of experience in security analysis, incident response, or a similar role.
- You have strong knowledge of security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, antivirus, and encryption, AWS
- You have experience with security frameworks and standards, such as ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, GDPR
- You have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- You have a security certification, such as GSEC, or are willing to obtain one
- You can collaborate with senior stakeholders effectively to establish relationships and become a trusted advisor, providing pragmatic, proportionate advice on security risk management
- You are initiative-taking and with a desire to continually learn
