Specialist: SHEQ & BCM (Clairwood Multi-User) Job at DHL Supply Chain

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Governance

• Lead the site SHEQ and BCM strategy
• Chair SHEQ Management Review meetings
• Provide monthly SHEQ performance reporting
• Engage with customers, regulators and auditors
• Drive SHEQ culture and leadership visibility programmes

Safety

• Ensure compliance with OHS legislation
• Manage site risk management programme
• Oversee incident investigations
• Lead serious injury and high-potential incident investigations
• Ensure compliance with DHL Minimum Safety Standards

Environmental Management

• Maintain ISO 14001 compliance
• Manage environmental risk assessments
• Monitor waste, recycling, water and energy programmes
• Investigate environmental incidents
• Ensure legal environmental compliance

Quality Management

• Maintain ISO 9001 compliance
• Oversee CAPA programme
• Manage internal and external audits
• Review customer complaints and root cause investigations

 Food Safety

• Maintain HACCP and Food Safety Management Systems
• Oversee product recall processes
• Review food safety performance indicators
• Ensure compliance with client food safety standards

Security Governance

• Chair security review meetings
• Review site security risks
• Monitor access control and CCTV governance
• Support loss prevention initiatives

Facilities & Maintenance Governance

• Control all works related technical plant installation and maintenance
• Facilitate the Facility site inspections as required
• Manage the supplier during the surveys/interventions (request permission, deliver work area, control at the end of the works)
• Deliver effective training and knowledge transfer to Site Facility Coordinators on how manage suppliers during the maintenance surveys
• Oversee maintenance compliance
• Monitor fire protection systems
• Review critical maintenance programmes
• Project Management and implementation of projects
• Ensure contractor compliance

Business Continuity Management

• Own site BCM programme
• Conduct annual BIA reviews
• Maintain BCM plans in LOGICS
• Lead BCM tests and simulations
• Manage crisis preparedness activities

Skills/Experience

• 5–8 years SHEQ experience
• 2 - 3 years Logistics / Warehouse experience
• 2–5 Warehouse/Logistics environment
• Customer-facing audit experience
• Multi-standard management systems

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 Certificate
• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor
• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor
• ISO 14001 Internal Auditor
• HACCP / Food Safety
• SAMTRAC/NEBOSH/NOSA
