About the role:
- To play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the company’s leadership development strategy, enhancing team health, and cultivating a strong organizational culture. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in leadership and organisational development, a keen understanding of team dynamics, and a passion for fostering a positive organizational culture.
- Reporting to the Head: Leadership Development, the specialist will design, implement, and evaluate programmes and initiatives that align with the company’s strategic objectives and support its mission to transform the organisational culture, develop exceptional leaders and enable high-performing teams.
What you will bring:
- Relevant degree in Industrial/Organisational Psychology or Management Sciences
- Demonstrate at least 5 years of specialist leadership or organisational development capacity, in a corporate environment.
- Proven experience in delivering structured and unstructured leadership development initiatives at all levels of an organisation, end-to-end from conceptualisation to delivery.
Experience in:
- organisational development and defining and shaping culture
- facilitating events
- engaging and consulting with senior stakeholders
- working with third-party vendors to design bespoke programs
- Functional expertise in Leadership Development, including facilitation, coaching, consulting
- Expert knowledge of leadership development best practice
Ideally you also have:
- Building and establishing a leadership academy within a commercial organisation.
- Management experience in banking or a financial entity environment.
- Leadership coaching experience
What you will be doing:
- Responsible for driving leadership development strategy across Capitec
- Design and implement programs that reinforce cultural values and encourage behaviours aligned with organizational goals.
- Monitor and assess cultural climate through surveys, feedback mechanisms, and other tools to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance team dynamics and effectiveness across the organization.
- Facilitate team-building workshops, coaching sessions, and interventions to improve collaboration and performance.
- Measure and analyse team health metrics to drive improvements and best practices
- Develop a variety of learning formats, including workshops, e-learning modules, coaching, and mentoring programmes.
- Utilise best practices in instructional design and adult learning principles to ensure effective knowledge transfer and skill application.
- Being a thought leader by staying abreast of leadership trends and the latest innovations in leadership development, team health and culture.
- Champion new ideas and methodologies to ensure the organization remains a leader in leadership development practices.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
