Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF4
- Relevant experience in applying job-related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level
- People management experience
- Professional registration
- Computer literacy (Basic)
- Code 08 Driver’s license
- Work shifts/weekends/public holidays

Duties and Responsibilities
Perform Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) tasks
- Conduct safety, health, environmental and risks assessments and audits
- Complete incident investigations and record on Entropy
- Act/liaise with Contractor activities on site
- Conduct inspections with Maintenance Managers/Departmental Managers and capture action plans on Entropy
- Conduct SHE Representative meetings
- Coordinate Induction Program
- Arrange for maintenance of equipment and update records/registers on Entropy
Create SHE awareness
- Share relevant information timeously with all concerned
- Actively contribute to team objectives and team spirit
- Partner across teams (don’t work in isolation)
- Ensure that all relevant SHE inspection registers are handed in prior to meetings and returned to relevant departments timeously & conduct inspections with SHE Representative
Provide an Occupational and Primary Health service
- Conduct medical examinations (pre-employment, pre-placement, exit and annual medicals)
- Treat injuries on duty, incidents on site (permanents, contractors and contract labour)
- Conduct regular Occupational Health surveys with medical practitioner
- Assist in doing health risk assessments
- Dispense medicine according to legislation
- Liaise with medical specialists, doctors, hospitals and management
- Provide and maintain an annual program for annual medical surveillance
