Minimum Requirements

• N6 or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Ideally recently qualified with limited or no formal work experience.
• Strong interest in electrical, technical and maintenance work.
• Willingness to learn and develop practical, hands-on skills.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to follow technical instructions.
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
• Able to work effectively as part of a technical team.
• Valid driver's licence advantageous but not essential.
• Willing and able to travel to customer and job sites with Technicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist experienced Technicians with servicing, maintenance, installations and repairs.
• Accompany Technicians to customer premises and job sites.
• Assist with basic electrical fault finding, troubleshooting and equipment testing.
• Prepare tools, equipment, components and materials for service calls.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and routine equipment servicing.
• Learn to interpret technical manuals, schematics and manufacturer guidelines.
• Assist with removing, replacing and installing faulty components.
• Learn to use technical tools, diagnostic equipment and testing instruments correctly.
• Maintain clean, organised and safe working areas.
• Participate in practical training, learning activities and assessments.
• Follow company procedures and occupational health and safety requirements.
• Develop practical technical knowledge under the guidance of experienced Technicians.
