Sales and Technical Field Support Job at Mayfly Agri Ltd

• A well-established advanced commercial horticultural nursery is seeking the above to be responsible for promoting and selling seedlings, developing new business, maintaining client relationships, coordinating deliveries, and providing technical support to farmers across Gauteng, Mpumalanga, and North West.

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Agriculture (or equivalent qualification)
• Minimum 1 year experience in an agricultural environment
• Must be able to work independently and in teams with a reliable, proactive, and energetic approach
• Fluency in both English and Afrikaans (Read, Write, Speak)
• Proficient computer literacy
• Must have a valid code B (8) driver’s license and be willing to travel regionally

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Marketing various seedlings and actively recruiting new business in the assigned regions.
• Identifying and approaching potential new clients, primarily farmers, to grow the customer base.
• Maintaining and supporting the existing client base through regular engagement.
• Providing ongoing service and relationship management to current clients.
• Communicating effectively with the production team to ensure timely delivery of seedlings.
• Coordinating logistics and timing to ensure that seedlings reach clients, mostly farmers, on schedule.
• Following up with clients after delivery to support the successful establishment of seedlings.
• Supplying relevant technical information and guidance on seedling cultivation.
• Assisting clients with troubleshooting and best practices for seedling performance.
• Representing the business professionally in field interactions and sales activities.
• Reporting progress, client feedback, and sales activities to the National Sales Manager.
• Supporting overall sales and technical field objectives in Gauteng, Mpumalanga, and North West.
