Mechanical Draughtsman Job at Phakisa Group

• We are seeking a Mechanical Draughtsman to join our team in the engineering department. As a Mechanical Draughtsman, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings using SolidWorks software. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in mechanical design and manufacturing drawings, preferably within the mining industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Creating detailed mechanical drawings using SolidWorks
• Working on projects related to fuel management, lubrication systems, hoses, and fluid fittings
• Collaborating with the engineering team to ensure designs meet requirements
• Ensuring drawings adhere to industry standards and specifications

Key Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Relevant MDDOP N4/N5, Mechanical Engineering N4-N6, National Diploma, or similar qualification
• Formal SolidWorks training and strong proficiency in the software
• Experience with 3D modelling, assemblies, sheet metal, and manufacturing drawings
• Ability to work independently, solve problems, and collaborate effectively with a team
• Proficiency in using Google Docs and Sheets
• Residence in or around Springs, Gauteng
