Backend Developer (Python) Job at Talented Recruitment Specialists

• We’re looking for a talented Backend Developer to take charge of maintaining, enhancing, and building Python-based APIs and backend systems. This is a hybrid position based in Somerset West.

Duties and Responsibilities: 
Maintain existing Python-based APIs:

• Maintain and update existing Python APIs
• Prioritise and address bugs and features
• Liaises with internal stakeholders on requirements and specifications for fixes and features
• Liaise with dev ops for release and deployment on Linux servers
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues related to APIs

Documentation:

• Write and maintain internal documentation for APIs and other systems for which you are responsible
• Liaise internally with marketing and media teams who produce documentation and marketing material for clients

Develop new web APIs:

• Participate in development of any new required web frontends
• Liaise internally to scope work and assist in architecture design
• Work with internal stakeholders to understand requirements

Requirements:

• 4+ years Python experience
• 3+ years database experience
• 6+ years of programming experience
