Your mission:

  • Real-time and timely preparation of project cost, project cashflow and progress reports.
  • Efficient ongoing maintenance of the project cost control sheet.
  • Timely and accurate reporting of control budgets, forecasts, and cost commitments.

Interface with projects financial department to:

  • ensure the quarterly/ yearly cashflow forecast is up to date.
  • ensure that all invoices needed to maintain cashflow was submitted and processed.
  • Provide support and input to proposals, presentations and other business development activities as required.
  • Ensure alignment of the cashflow forecast related to the project Gantt and Procurement plan.
  • Keep track of budget decision on the Project Notice Register.
  • Update and keep track of project manpower forecast and cost.
  • Ensure that the project budget control sheet and SAP is aligned weekly.
  • Set up Cost Reports for the project and ensure that it is kept up to date/live.
  • Analyze project expenses and provide reporting and commentary.
  • Investigate project variances and assist with resolution of variances where applicable.
  • Provide accurate, regular reports to Project Management regarding project budgets and finances.
  • Investigate and report on orders which are not assigned to correct WBS; with recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate accounts and ledgers in accordance with Finance best practice and processes.
  • Participate in and assist with financial audits.
  • Load purchase requisitions and assign the correct WBS.

Your profile:

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Commerce, Law or category relevant. 
  • CIPS registration and / or qualification would be an added advantage.
  • Proven experience in project cost control. 
  • Up to 5 years in a similar role. 
  • Good SAP experience.
  • Solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision whilst consistently producing a high quality of deliverables, within budget and schedule constraints.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with the Microsoft suite of software packages, including Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, particularly in English
  • Proven ability to produce accurate and professional complex, technical documentation.
  • Proven ability to produce sound finance, project, and technical reports.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work efficiently in a team and knowledge sharing environment.
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and a practical approach to problem-solving.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple and varied tasks while ensuring attention to detail.
