Cleaner needed at Inspired Education

ROLE SUMMARY:

• Reddam House Waterfall, part of the Inspired Education Group, is a dedicated School Cleaner to join our support staff team. The successful candidate will contribute to the smooth running, cleanliness, and overall presentation of our beautiful campus, ensuring that students, staff, and visitors experience a safe, welcoming, and high-quality environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Carry out daily cleaning duties across school buildings and grounds.
• Support with setup and breakdown for school events, assemblies, and functions.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as minor repairs (plumbing, carpentry, painting).
• Conduct regular inspections and report items requiring repair, replacement, or ordering.
• Assist during emergencies or urgent maintenance needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality across all designated areas.
• Follow written instructions, schedules, and task requests accurately.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and safe use of equipment.
• Uphold confidentiality and the school’s values and code of conduct.
• Work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Be available for weekend or after-hours duties when required.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Previous experience in facilities, cleaning, or maintenance support.
• Basic knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English proficiently.
• Reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work with minimal supervision.
• Physical fitness and ability to lift, carry, and operate basic equipment safely.
• Understanding of maintenance requests, safety instructions, and power tool basics.
• A positive attitude, willingness to follow instructions, and commitment to teamwork.
• Familiarity with expectations in a high-performing school environment.
