Purpose:

  • To ensure that all stock movements within Supply Chain are done accurately, on time and in full. The incumbent is responsible for operating a forklift in order to move, locate, relocate, stack and pick materials for production, picking and loading requirements.
  • The incumbent needs to ensure that the forklift is operated in a safe manner at all times and in line with Company policy and procedures.

Job Summary:

  • Accurate picking and loading of products to plan and instructions
  • Manage Forklift machine as per company policy
  • Meet all requirements within set timeframes
  • Consistently comply with workplace standards and practices
  • Consistently attain performance goals as set out and agreed upon quarterly
  • Implement good housekeeping and safety practices
  • Suggest improvements and implement new ideas to improve effectiveness
  • Ad hoc projects
  • Availability to work overtime, as required from time to time

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Minimum 1-2 years related experience in logistics
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (SAP Knowledge an added advantage)
  • Valid Forklift license

Skills Required:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at various levels
  • Assist with general work around the warehouse and office when required
  • Assist Stock Controller with stock taking
  • Abide by safety rules and regulations
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure
  • Customer and goal orientated
  • Problem solving and initiative skills
