The Role

  • As Animator / Motion Graphics Designer, you’ll be responsible for bringing stories, visuals, and brands to life through dynamic movement and design. You’ll work closely with the creative and design teams across South Africa and Atlanta to craft clean, engaging, social-first animations that enhance digital storytelling and elevate visual impact.
  • You’ll need solid animation and design skills—not necessarily hyper-technical—but confident in crafting professional, polished motion graphics, logo animations, titling, and transitions that feel modern, seamless, and platform-ready.

Responsibilities

  • Concept, design, and animate motion graphics for social, digital, and integrated campaigns.
  • Create smooth transitions, logo animations, text treatments, and kinetic layouts for short-form content.
  • Collaborate with art directors, editors, and designers to bring static visuals to life.
  • Translate creative direction and briefs into high-quality animated content optimized for digital platforms.
  • Maintain brand consistency and visual identity across all motion work.
  • Stay on top of social and motion trends—adapting to new techniques and styles.
  • Manage multiple animation projects simultaneously and deliver on tight deadlines.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet quality, format, and timing requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with remote teams in South Africa and the Atlanta hub.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years’ experience in motion graphics, animation, or related design roles (agency experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of design principles, composition, typography, and timing.
  • Proficient in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop (Illustrator and Audition a plus).
  • Experience with titling, logo animation, and social content animation.
  • Solid technical and file management skills.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately, balancing creativity with speed.
  • Good communication skills and comfort working across distributed teams.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and passionate about motion design and digital storytelling.

Bonus:

  • Experience with social-first, short-form, or brand-led content.
  • Basic sound design and editing capabilities
