Job Description

• The Load Master plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient loading and unloading of goods. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and strong coordination with drivers, warehouse staff, and operations teams to make sure that loads comply with safety standards and company requirements.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or NQF4 with numerical ability and PC Literacy
• At least 2 – 3 years’ experience transport, warehousing, or logistics operations
• Required to work weekends and public holidays as per roster
• Knowledge of load planning, weight distribution, and safety regulations
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Physically fit and able to manage heavy-duty tasks
• Clear Criminal Record

Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and oversee the loading and unloading of cargo and goods
• Ensure weight distribution and securing of loads comply with safety standards
• Inspect cargo and documentation for accuracy before dispatch
• Coordinate with drivers, dispatchers, and warehouse staff
• Keep accurate records of loads, movements, and reconciliations
• Monitor and report any deviations, damages, or incidents during loading/unloading
• Uphold company values and maintain a safe working environment
