Accountant needed at Mayfly Agri Ltd

• A well-established, leading specialty chemicals distributor is seeking the above to be responsible for providing comprehensive financial, accounting, and inventory support across the business, including ledger reconciliation, payables and receivables management, compliance, auditing, and operational stock control.

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant accounting experience
• Experience in stock, inventory, warehousing or logistics management is essential
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Dynamics, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or SAP) is essential
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Strong Management and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Advanced Excel or Dynamics proficiency is essential

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts.
• Managing accounts payable and receivable.
• Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and assisting with filings.
• Managing and overseeing inventory teams and systems.
• Working within the operational part of the business.
• Reconciliating inventory and stock on a national basis.
• Assisting the demand and stock planning teams.
• Liaising with auditors and supporting audit processes.
• Recommending and implementing accounting controls and process improvements.
