The ideal candidate should have at least the following:
- Mechanical trade test certificate as a Diesel Mechanic
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a mechanical workshop
- Willing to work shifts and overtime
- Sound technical knowledge of trucks, forklifts and other diesel vehicles
- Valid Driver’s license (Code EC with a valid PDP or Forklift license will be an advantage).
- Computer literacy
- Medically fit to perform the duties as a mechanic.
Duties will include but will not be limited to:
- Responsible for fleet maintenance as per scheduled maintenance plan.
- Fault finding.
- Adhere to safe working procedures
- Log job cards on the system
- Attend to breakdowns if and when required
- Any other duties that may be required
