Job Description    

  • Responsible for managing all operational and financial aspects of the Distribution Centre, including performance analysis, KPI monitoring, reporting, asset management, and compliance.
  • Ensure strong internal controls, stakeholder engagement, and alignment of agent operations, while leading people development and driving process improvements.

Required Skills    

  • BCom in Management Accounting or Accounting.
  • Proven track record in financial management, systems implementation and controls.
  • At least 5 years post qualificaftion experience in a financial function or management control function in a logisitc environment. Experience in a FMCG would be advantageous.
  • Good analytical skills, accuracy and details orientated, Computer literacy: Advanced Excel and related MS office Packages.
  • Knowledge of BPCS System or similiar ERP system and Reporting Tools is preffered.
  • Customer orientated, assertiveness and problem-solving skills.
  • Result driven, business acumen and good decision making as well as strong leadership skills.

Duties & Responsibilities    

  • Performance managment of the DC in all areas: Variance analysis for actual vs budget and previous year.
  • Daily KPI management: Labour, stock losses, warehouse management, fleet mangement.
  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly reports accurately and timeously for DC Meetings and Head Office submission.
  • Fixed asset mangement (CAPEX, ROI, asset verification).
  • Analyse feedback from the external auditors on controls, procdures and general accepted accounting principles with corrective action plans.
  • All internal processes to be documented and revirew on a continual basis.
  • Maintain high quality service and interaction with client, suppliers and other departments.
  • Factory Shop: Internal control,reporting, product pricing.
  • People management: Recuitment and development as well as performance managmenet and wellbeing.
  • Ensure daily/weekly meetings are effective and all issues are resolved successsfully through people.
  • Ensure that all procedures and policies are effectively implemented across al fiancial fucntions such as stock control, pricing, systems,assets, and creditors to mitigate risk.
  • Agents: Ensure the agents maintain the same procedures as the Lactalis DC. Weekly reporting on sales, returns and losses
