Purpose of the Job
- The BA performs an intermediary role between IT and the business and gathers, interprets, analyses and documents business requirements, as well as identifies and fixes weaknesses in operational processes to enhance the safety of the blood supply in the province.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, analyse and document current and future business processes
- Explore ways IT can reduce business costs while improving the business environment
- Ascertain and negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders
- Manage and facilitate workshops and requirements gathering sessions
- Elicit, understand and document business/user problems & requirements
- Help design scalable & flexible systems by studying business requirements & practices
- Produce functional specification documentation & user stories
- Participate in sprint planning and backlog refinement
- Perform Solution Testing and implementation management
Requirements
Minimum Requirements and Responsibilities
- National Diploma / Degree in Computer Science / Information Systems
- Diploma in Business Analysis
- 5 years proven business analysis experience
- Experience with BABOK
- Experience working with a Systems Development Life Cycle and development team
- Agile development methodology Experience (advantageous)
- Excellent verbal, written & interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with the organization, project & development teams
- Ability to work well in a team environment
