Maintenance Handyman – Rondebosch Medical Centre needed at Africa Health Care

• An opportunity exists for a Maintenance Handyman, reporting to the Technical Services Manager. The successful incumbent will be responsible for ensuring continuous availability of Mechanical and/or electrical services, air-conditioning repairs and equipment maintenance as required for the Hospital infrastructure.

Critical Outputs

• Stock & inventory control.
• Restoration and/ or repairs of buildings and equipment, risk management and daily check lists.
• The candidate must have a good understanding of equipment.
• Excellent completion of daily job cards as well as feedback thereof is high priority.
• The candidate will be responsible and involved in SHEQ procedures.
• Excellent fault-finding skills, a must have.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Maintenance technical qualification in electrical or plumbing or air-conditioning
• 2 years maintenance experience in a hospital environment.
• Competency in any of the following fields: electrical, building, plumbing, carpentry, welding, or tiling.
• Experience in maintenance duties such as plumbing, welding, carpentry, electrical, painting, and general building maintenance.
• A valid driver’s license.
