Job Description    

  • Tekkie Town is seeking to employ an IR Administrator on a fixed term basis until December 2026. The primary purpose of this role is to provide high-level Industrial Relations (IR) administration support across the Central Office, field, and stores to ensure accurate IR documentation for all employees in the business. This candidate must deal with confidential information with utmost discretion and meet high standards of integrity. Applicants will also need to be flexible and willing to handle a variety of tasks to assist their HR and Operations team members.

Qualifications    

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.
  • 3 or more years’ experience in an administrative position or in an IR/HR related field.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience    

  • Strong organisational and administration skills.
  • Computer Literacy (G-Suit).
  • Knowledge and understanding of HR policies and procedures.
  • Understanding of BCEA, LRA, OHS, EE, SDL, and POPI acts.
  • Deadline driven with an ability to pay attention to detail and work accurately.
  • High level of confidentiality, diplomacy, and integrity.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Logical, critical, and enquiring thinking.
  • Solution driven.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Professionalism and respect for others.
  • Good understanding of HR systems, the retail organisation, and Industrial Relations processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities    

  • Provide comprehensive office administration, including compiling all IR related documentation (e.g., progressive discipline, counselling, dismissals, and retrenchment documents).
  • Manage and administer all aspects of the disciplinary hearing processes, including scheduling and documentation.
  • Manage and administer all aspects of the stock loss warning processes.
  • Provide professional dispute resolution internally, including guidance on internal conflict/dispute procedures (e.g., grievance application procedures) to ensure compliance with Company processes.
  • Ensure strict adherence to the Company’s code of conduct.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on IR activities by keeping data up to date, maintaining accurate records, and preparing monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Manage and provide support to stores in following the correct protocol for reporting disciplinary or IR issues.
