Job Role

  • Driving a sales team as well as managing senior accounts within the mining and related industries on a national and cross border basis for the company.
  • Providing technical assistance on various mining chemical & mineral processing technologies within the mining industry.
  • Preparing and presenting annual budgets and setting strategies for the growth of the company
  • Preparing and driving growth strategies and setting KPIs to increase turnover.
  • Setting KPIs for achieving sales in different regions in SA and Africa.
  • Supporting Business Development and increasing new business while maintaining excellent customer relations resulting in retention and satisfaction of customers.
  • Developing and maintaining business relationships with current key account customers as prospective customers.
  • Technically assisting customers on all products and projects on site.
  • Driving and implementing marketing strategies within the mining and industrial sectors.
  • Driving targets to ensure they are met on a monthly and annual basis.
  • Promoting the company’s existing brands and introducing new products to the market.
  • Analyzing budgets, preparing annual budget plans, scheduling expenditures, and ensuring that the sales team meets their quotas and goals.
  • Researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans, understanding consumer requirements, identifying market trends, and suggesting system improvements to achieve the company’s marketing goals.
  • Gathering, investigating, and summarizing market data and trends to draft reports.
  • Implementing new sales plans and advertising.
  • Recruiting, training, scheduling, coaching, and managing sales teams to meet sales and human resource objectives.
  • Maintaining relationships with important clients by making regular visits, understanding their needs, and anticipating new marketing opportunities.
  • Staying current in the industry by attending educational opportunities, conferences, and workshops, reading publications, and maintaining personal and professional networks.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in  Metallurgical Engineering / or related field.
  • Min 3 years’ experience in Sales .
  • Understanding and knowledge of sales & commercial management.
  • Leading of people, Strong analytical, organizational, and creative thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and report writing.
  • The ability to understand and follow company policies and procedures
  • The ability to work under pressure.
  • Previous experience having sold mineral processing solutions and products into the mines is essential.
  • Previous experience as well as an in-depth technical knowledge of the Chrome, Gold, Coal and Mineral sands mining industry will be beneficial.
  • Must have a strong understanding of mining operations and processes.
  • Computer literacy in Word, and Excel is essential.
