Purpose of Role:
- To prepare moulds on the casting bay ready for casting.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety First:
- Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
Technical:
- Mould control and arrangement
- Clamping and sealing of moulds
- Mould inspection
- Control of pouring sheets and temperatures
- Prepare ladles
Operation:
- Operate crane
- De-slag furnaces
- Maintain 5’s on the casting bay
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12); or 12 to 24 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Valid forklift license.
- Overhead crane license
