Emergency Service – BAA/BLS – Mpumalanga needed at MHR

Introduction    

• MHR is looking for experienced Basic Ambulance Assistants (BAA/BLS) to work part-time shifts (EVENTS and OPERATIONS) in Nelspruit in Mpumalanga Province.

Requirements    

• Basic Life Support Practitioner qualification is essential
• Professional registration with the HPCSA as a BAA/BLS
• A valid drivers’ license and valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) (Requirement for Operations shifts. If only going to work events, no PrDP required)
• A minimum of 6 months BLS road experience
• Knowledge of the EMS environment
• Knowledge and application of HPCSA guidelines and scope of practice
• Working knowledge and experience of Patient Report Forms
• Upholds high ethical and professional standards
• Follows instructions and adheres to procedures
• Works accurately and thoroughly by attending to detail
• Responds constructively to pressure and perseveres through challenges
• Collaborates with and supports colleagues in order to achieve shared goals

• Ensures operational readiness for emergency calls
• Administers patient care in line with the BAA/BLS scope of practice
