Job Overview:

  • We are seeking a skilled and proactive individual to join our team as a Stock Quality Controller. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough quality control checks on all incoming stock. This role ensures every aspect of stock receipt meets world-class quality standards, from verification and inspection to documentation and reporting. The effectiveness of the position will be measured by the accuracy and consistency of these checks, with a key indicator of success being the reduction of quality-related queries received across all communication channels. In addition, the role plays a critical part in maintaining operational integrity ,supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring that only compliant and quality-approved stock enters the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control

Ensure effective Quality control through:

  • Continuous analysis of quality control process and mechanisms.
  • Detailed quality control during the receiving stock process.
  • Recording of non-conforming incoming goods and rejecting those. Informing Quality Control Manager which items are to be returned to the supplier.
  • Liaising with suppliers on non-conforming products.
  • Quality control analysis of faulty components.
  • Assist with the supplier evaluation process.
  • Design and present quality improvement ideas, processes and systems.
  • Stay abreast of Best practices in relation to Production. 
  • Assist in all other areas of the quality department when required.

Health and Safety

  • Participate in the design/ development/ review/ implementation and monitoring of the branch/region/national safety plans for each year.
  • Participate in safety forums created by company for example safety meetings and safety talks.
  • Report all safety incidents to the relevant people.
  • Discuss all safety incidents on all levels.
  • Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meeting/committee/representative/management.
  • Attend safety education and refresher programmes.
  • Comply with safety policies and procedures at workplace.
  • Distribute safety information as and when required.
  • Wear protective clothing all the time.

Ideal Candidate:

Qualification & Technical Experience required:

  • Matric / Grade 12 .
  • Certificate or a Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Inventory Management or any related field. (Advantageous)
  • Computer Literacy, Including MS Office (Excel, Word, Google Suite).
  • Experience with ERP or Inventory management Systems such as SAP, Oracle or Similar platforms .
  • Understanding of warehouse operations, stock control  principles & quality standards.
  • 2–3 years’ experience in stock control, inventory management, warehousing, or a similar operational role.
  • Proven experience in receiving, issuing, and reconciling stock.
  • Strong background in performing stock counts, investigating variances, and ensuring accurate stock records.
  • Experience working in a high-volume environment where accuracy and attention to detail are critical.
  • Exposure to quality control processes, stock integrity checks, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams (e.g., procurement, warehouse, finance).
