- About the role- Eat Out is seeking a detail-oriented Content Migration Administrator to manually transfer all content from the existing Eat Out website to the News24 content management system (CMS). This role involves carefully copying text, images, and maintaining content structure across hundreds of pages.
Key responsibilities include
- Systematically migrate all selected website content including article copy and images.
- Transfer and optimize images while maintaining quality and proper file naming conventions.
- Ensure content formatting, links, and structure are preserved in the new CMS.
- Document any issues or discrepancies encountered during migration.
- Collaborate with the Eat Out and News24 teams to resolve CMS-related questions or issues that arise.
Required skills and experience
- 2+ years’ experience working with Content Management Systems (WordPress a bonus)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient in basic image editing and optimization
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Experience with file management and folder structures
- Basic HTML knowledge for formatting preservation
- Understanding of SEO best practices for content structure
- Previous content migration or data migration experience (bonus)
- Familiarity with restaurant/food industry websites (bonus)
- Experience with bulk content operations (bonus)
Technical requirements
- Reliable computer and high-speed internet connection
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
