Roles and Responsibilities

• Product Quality & Compliance
• Consistently meet ISO, SHEQ, and customer-specific technical specifications.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions for any quality deviations.
• Technical Support to Production Teams
• Provide hands-on guidance to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and resolve operational issues.
• Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for production challenges.
• Continuous Improvement
• Lead initiatives to enhance product quality, yield, and plant uptime.
• Identify and implement process improvements and best practices.
• Customer & Stakeholder Alignment
• Collaborate with commercial and operations teams to ensure production output meets customer requirements and forecasts.
• Address customer complaints and ensure timely, effective resolution.
• Reporting & Documentation
• Maintain accurate records of process performance, quality metrics, and improvement initiatives.
• Prepare technical reports and compliance documentation for audits and management review.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Process Engineering
• Postgraduate qualification in engineering and business highly advantageous
• 10 years’ relevant production, process engineering and technical experience
• Minimum 5 years senior management experience in heavy chemical manufacturing environment
• Certifications in quality, process improvement and lean manufacturing
• Detailed understanding of the OHS act and Explosives regulations.
• Nitrates production processes
• ISO, SHEQ, and OHS compliance standards
• Process optimization and quality assurance
• Customer technical specifications
• Leading a team of technical experts
