About the Role

The HR Business Partner drives high-RPM human capital excellence by managing workforce data and ensuring 100% compliance with regional labor laws within the industrial engineering sector. Utilizing Workday for talent orchestration and Oracle for payroll integration, the partner mitigates operational risk in personnel management. Their leadership leverages data-driven insights to optimize employee engagement and ensure the commercial efficiency of the Southern African business unit.

Your role and responsibilities

  • In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement people strategy through the execution of HR processes. Each day, you will provide HR support for a defined team or location, by partnering with respective managers.
  • You will also showcase your expertise by representing HR in the business and establishing strong relationships with all business leaders and employees.
  • The work model for the role is: Hybrid
  • This role is contributing to the Motion Business in Southern Africa. Main stakeholders are Motion Division Managers locally and Regional HRBP.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Ensuring an effective overall HR contribution and value-add to the business in partnership with the functions and Shared Services.
  • Supporting the business and the execution of HR processes involved across the end-to-end employee lifecycle by determining and delivering the best approach in the area of responsibility and executing the HR priorities while adding value to the business.
  • Partnering with respective managers to develop and implement people strategies.
  • Facilitating change management initiatives and driving behavior change & continuous improvement across the respective business area / area of responsibility.

Qualifications for the role

  • Ability to demonstrate your experience in advanced HR skills
  • You have 10 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Possess an enhanced knowledge of latest HR trends in our industry.
  • You are passionate about developing our people and assisting the business leaders with turning our people into high performance individuals.
  • Degree in Human Resources or related qualifications.
  • You are at ease communicating with various levels in the organization internally and cross functionally.

Career Growth & Education

A degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or Business Science is mandatory for this corporate track. Career growth leads toward Regional HR Director or Head of People and Culture roles within global industrial firms. Participating in executive leadership bootcamps and obtaining certifications in digital transformation provides a pathway to high-paying global leadership positions in the manufacturing and engineering sectors.

Salary & Financial Insight

Estimated monthly salaries range from R55,000 to R95,000, reflecting the high strategic and regulatory demand. High-earning HR professionals should prioritize professional tax planning and offshore investment diversification to protect their long-term capital growth.
