• We are seeking a Structural modeler to join our bridge team in Tshwane. The candidate will work with our engineering team to produce detailed design documentation for bridges and other civil structures on international projects.

Role responsibilities

• Collaborate with structural engineers to develop detailed designs and documentation for bridges and other structural projects.
• Create and maintain Revit models, drawings, and details for structures / bridge projects.
• Ensure that the details developed are technically feasible.
• Produce accurate and complete construction documents that meet project requirements and standards.
• Review and check drafting work to ensure accuracy and completeness of project documentation.
• Communicate with project team members to ensure effective project coordination.
• Follow company standards and procedures for quality control, documentation, and project management.
• Keep up to date with industry standards and technology advancements in Revit software and add on packages.

Minimum requirements

• 3 to 10 years Revit project experience in the structures / bridges industry using Revit daily to produce models and project deliverables.
• Extensive experience modelling and drafting reinforced concrete and structural steel work.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to frequent project changes.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently with minimal oversight.
• Ability to interpret and communicate information of a complex technical nature.
• Able to learn and to develop new skills and workflows for new digital tools.
• Ability to work on fast paced design and construct projects.

Skills, and characteristics

• Experience working with AutoDesk Revit to produce construction documentation
• Structures experience – modelling and drafting (min requirement)
• Bridge experience will be advantageous.
• B.Tech. or N.Dip. will be advantageous.
• Experience working with AutoDesk Dynamo will be advantageous.
• Experience working with AutoDesk Civil 3D will be advantageous.
• Experience working with AutoDesk AutoCAD will be advantageous.
• Experience in reinforcement detailing will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of structures / bridge design and construction principles.
• Ability to read and understand structural drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
