Job Purpose

  • The role of Solution Manager exists to enable DHL Supply Chain business to design, implement, release and support IT Solutions (set of IT Products) to run efficient operations with maintainable and upgradeable IT Products. DHL Supply Chain selected best-in-class IT Products to satisfy customer and business needs and the Solution Manager has the duty to intelligently compose offered products into a solution that emphasize the peculiarity and strengths of each product, offering to the operations an IT Solution covering all the business needs. The Solution Manager also has the duty to ensure implemented solutions respect the OPS and IT standardization principles set by the company and must support projects to achieve standardization targets, when achievable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Application Consultants.
  • Implement and Support strategic Warehouse Management solutions in Africa.
  • Prepare Concept of Systems documents.
  • Support go-live and post go-live process optimizations.
  • Manage change requests during implementation.
  • Support UAT and User Training.
  • Manage customer demand and deliverables – non project.
  • Finance & Projects
  • Prepare IT budget for implementation activities accurately and on time.
  • Project delivery on time in budget.
  • People Management
  • Lead a team of Application Consultants.
  • Manage engagement of CoE and other relevant parties.

Qualifications & Experience

  • University Graduate.
  • Project Management.
  • SQL.
  • Bachelor of Science advantageous.
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes, including warehousing and distribution.
  • FMCG, Mining and retail environment experience – advantageous.
  • Proven track record in IT Project Management and budgeting.
  • Managing Strategic Applications.
  • Minimum of 5 years WMS experience, inclusive of implementation, master data, set-up configuration and integration.
  • Manhattan/WMOS experience preferable.
  • Proficient in handling queries and providing effective solutions.
  • Competent in writing comprehensive reports to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Strong technical skills with a solid foundation in troubleshooting and problems-solving.
  • Demonstrated management experience with strong understanding of continuous improvement.
