Minimum Requirements    

  • Honours degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • MBA or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years in senior leadership roles within Sales, Marketing, and/or Logistics.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • SA Poultry Industry knowledge
  • Proven track record in driving revenue growth and operational efficiency.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management and market dynamics.
  • Proven track record in sales growth, marketing strategy, and logistics management.
  • In-depth understanding of poultry production systems, cold chain logistics, and food safety standards.
  • Familiarity with South African market dynamics and regulatory environment.
  • Knowledge of poultry nutrition, processing, and value chain.
  • Experience in export markets and international trade compliance.
  • Proficiency in CRM and ERP systems for sales and logistics management.
  • Strategic Thinking & Business Acumen – Ability to align divisional goals with overall business strategy.
  • Leadership & People Management – Strong skills in team development and stakeholder engagement.
  • Analytical & Decision-Making Skills – Ability to interpret market data and make informed decisions.

Duties and Responsibilities    
Strategic / Operational / Tactical Alignment

  • Monitor and Evaluate and Execute best practices in a dynamic fast passed Poultry industry constantly mitigating risks and developing contingency plans for optimal Sales mix (customer & product mix
  • Early adoption of AI

Sales & Marketing

  • Develop and implement integrated sales, marketing, and logistics strategies aligned with CBH South African goals.
  • Drive profitability, market expansion, and operational excellence.
  • Lead brand positioning, promotional campaigns, and digital marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with South African regulations, food safety standards, and industry best practices.
  • Set annual sales targets and monitor performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and retailers.
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Manage pricing strategies and product portfolio optimization.

Logistics

  • Oversee supply chain efficiency, distribution planning, and cost optimization.
  • Ensure efficient distribution networks, cold chain integrity, and inventory management.
  • Optimize transportation costs and delivery timelines.
  • Implement systems for forecasting demand and managing stock levels

Financial & Reporting

  • Fiducial duties as a director
  • Set and monitor sales targets, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Manage divisional budgets, cost controls, and profitability metrics.
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets.
  • Monitor KPIs such as sales growth, market share, logistics efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Report to executive leadership on performance and strategic initiatives
