Job Description

• Hire Resolve’s Client is looking for a Senior Resource Geologist to be based at the Mine in Gauteng!

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee mineral resource estimation, geological modelling, and statutory reporting, ensuring full compliance with SAMREC, ISO 17025, SOX, and related industry standards.
• Drive safety leadership and quality culture through effective safety campaigns, QA/QC systems, risk management, and continuous improvement of Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves.
• Manage, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary teams, fostering strong inter- and intra-team collaboration, clear communication, and high performance in a dynamic, ambiguous environment.
• Apply advanced diagnostic, geostatistical, and problem-solving techniques to exploration and mine geology data to optimise resource outcomes and support business decision-making.
• Design, implement, and govern robust business processes, project controls, and data systems (including basic SQL and database management), leveraging technology to meet organisational and stakeholder requirements.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Sc. Honours in Geology or postgraduate qualification in the Mineral Resource Management
• Registered with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions
• 5 years’ geological modelling and mineral resource estimation expeirence
