Workshop Forman Job at Hyundai Automotive South Africa

• We are seeking a Workshop Foreman to lead our team of technicians and mechanics in our workshop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive or mechanical engineering and extensive experience in managing a workshop.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of technicians and mechanics to ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
• Plan and schedule work orders to meet deadlines and customer expectations
• Monitor and maintain inventory of tools and supplies
• Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of workshop equipment
• Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to ensure quality and safety standards are met
• Train and mentor technicians to improve their skills and performance
• Communicate with customers to provide updates on work in progress and address any concerns

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a workshop foreman or similar supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of automotive or mechanical engineering
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks
• Proficient in computer systems and software related to workshop management
