Learnership 18.1 Learner Official A Stream Job at Sibanye-Stillwater

Minimum Required Qualification:

• Have a grade 12 Certificate with minimum English 5(60%+), Mathematics 5 (60%+), and Physical Science 5 (60%+)
• Possess University Acceptance with an APS of 23 (Mid-year results will be provisionally considered if currently still studying)
• Not currently be busy with studies or have completed prior University studies

The Appointee should:

• Medically fit to work in the specific business area.
• Clear security screening record.
• Valid driver’s license (if applicable)
• Reside in Labour sending Area or local community
• Prospective candidates will be required to complete workplace orientation and underground exposure visits as part of the selection process
• Final allocation is dependent on applicants obtaining an acceptance letter from the University of Johannesburg
• All applicants will be subject to clearance screening by South African Police Services as required by the National Explosives Act

Additional Requirements:

• No experience is required

Key Responsibilities:

• Programme Objectives Demonstrates an understanding of the programme objectives and associated tasks. Complete all modules of the development programme within the specified timeframe. Escalate queries and concerns associated with the programme and completion thereof where required. Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
• SHE Adhere to all legal and safety requirements. Conduct all work according to the required standard, specifications, and training. Attend SHE meetings as and when required. Ensure that the prescribed safety equipment is worn and/ or used. Recognize hazardous situations that have an impact on all jobs and participate in “on the job” risk assessment. Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures. Reporting Compile developmental progress reports for progress discussion with the relevant stakeholder. Report all inconsistencies and obstacles. Report and communicate ideas and recommendations.
