The role:

• The purpose of the role is to provide an effective and efficient technical training service to the clients / employees.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Schedule, facilitate and conduct theoretical, practical and simulator training
• Schedule and arrange competency assessments
• Follow up on PTO’s in preparation for the 180-day license renewals
• Complete required documentation for licensing and obtain signatures
• Conduct induction (contractors, annual, visitors and on-the-job)
• Facilitate Computer Based Assessment (CBA’s)
• Conduct safety induction courses and site-specific safety training
• Coordinate First Aid, Rescue Pack, Refuge Bay and Evacuation training
• Ensure venues are booked and required training equipment is available
• Effectively and efficiently file and maintain all relevant records, capturing on relevant business systems
• Coordinate and communicate training schedules and logistics
• Generate and distribute accurate reports and information
• Continuous coaching of employees and assist to ensure that individuals are provided with the correct development opportunities 

Requirements: 

• Grade 12 with Math and Science or N3 with Math and Science 
• Certificate in Occupational Directed ETP Practice (Including Coach the Learner)
• Related Machine Certificates
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Mining Operator
• Sound knowledge of the coal mining industry
• Relevant equipment licenses
• Computer literacy in MS Office
• Valid K53 driver’s license with own transport
• In possession or able to obtain a valid Certificate of Fitness

Advantageous: 

• Registered facilitator, Assessor
