Purpose of the position
- The Activity Coordinator role will focus on support and coordination of the activities within community and safe spaces. Mainly, this role will include on-site organizational and logistical support towards the AYP Programme: Activities. Incumbent will report to the Safe Spaces Coordinator
Minimum Requirements
- Matric Certificate
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working within NGOs, within HIV / TB/ GBV Sector (Preferred)
- Computer proficiency in MS Office
- Valid Driver’s License essential
- Clear criminal record
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support Safe Spaces Coordinator (CSS) with activities at Communities and Safe Spaces
- Coordinate demand creation activities
- Ensure commodities and incentives distribution
- Logistical and event support to assist AYP to access various activities based on service plan
- Support Peer Group Trainers (PGT) with recruitment of beneficiaries at all entry points (Schools, Safe Spaces, Communities, TVETS)
- Complete the NACOSA enrolment, risk assessment and service plan forms with the AYP
- Identify AYP hotspots for mobilisation
- Provide HIV, Tuberculosis, Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) and Gender-based Violence (GBV) information to beneficiaries
- Refer all sexually active AYPs for HIV testing to Miet Africa every six months
- Ensure the completion of beneficiary referral forms for services provided by Sub-recipients (SR) and external service providers
- Conduct outreach activities including male and female condom demonstrations and provide current and accurate health information to AYPs regarding PrEP & other services
- Assist with recreational, educational and economic strengthening workshops
- Support influencer reporting, invoices are processed
- Work closely with PGTs and Administration team
- Adhere to relevant policies, guidelines and SOPs
- Daily completion of reporting tools
- Ensure Completion of beneficiaries Tracking Form (Activity based)
- Capturing the beneficiaries onto biometric system is mandatory
- Submit hardcopy reports on time to data officer / capturers
- Ensure AYP registers are completed and signed for all care/dignity packs and events
- Complete beneficiaries Tracking Form and continuously update based on layered services conducted
- Support SAW to complete structured programmes M&E deliverables
