Regional Sales Manager
- We are recruiting for a Regional Sales Manager on behalf of our client, a leading international metering and utilities company providing technology-driven solutions to the property, utilities and infrastructure sectors.
- As part of their South African growth strategy, they are expanding regional sales operations and require a hands-on leader to establish, grow and lead the Cape Town sales branch.
- This is a player-coach role requiring a commercially driven sales leader who can sell personally, build a high-performing team, and scale regional revenue.
Minimum Requirements
- Strong background in B2B, technical, infrastructure, utilities, property or enterprise sales.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
- Proven experience building or expanding a sales region or branch.
- Advantageous: experience within a technical industry.
- 8 – 12 years sales experience.
- Minimum 4 – 6 years in a Sales Leadership Role.
- Willing to travel between regions as required.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Negotiate pricing and commercial terms in line with company strategy.
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and pricing dynamics.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and performance-manage sales staff.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM reporting.
- Build a performance-driven sales culture focused on execution and results.
- Personally drive new business development in the Western Cape.
- Establish clear KPIs, accountability, and sales discipline.
- Provide periodic oversight and performance input for the Johannesburg sales team.
- Identify and develop priority sales verticals and channels.
- Prepare regular sales performance reports for senior management.
- Develop and execute regional sales plans aligned with national objectives.
- Lead from the front with a strong player-coach mentality.
- Open, manage, and close key B2B accounts within utilities, metering, property, and infrastructure sectors.
- Own regional sales targets, pipeline, and gross-profit delivery.
