Job Overview:

  • We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and managing the day-to-day financial operations of the business.
  • The Bookkeeper will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of financial data and supporting the financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the accounts payable and accounts receivable process
  • Process payroll and maintain accurate employee records
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports for management
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements
  • Calculate and file VAT returns and other tax obligations
  • Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial closings
  • Collaborate with external auditors and financial advisors as needed
  • Maintain compliance with all financial regulations and standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience working as a Bookkeeper in the automotive industry
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of South African tax regulations and reporting requirements
