Role Purpose
- To remove runners and risers and fettle to appropriate quality standards – cast surfaces
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
- Inspection of tools before using
- Grinding and blending of parts.
- Jackhammering of parts to remove burn on and sand lumps in parts and pencil grinding.
- To clean tight areas in parts with use of Grinding tools and abrasives.
- To use hammer and chisel to remove lumps in corners of parts.
- Maintaining a neat working environment.
Qualifications
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent technical grade
- Min. 3 years experience in a fettling/grinding of metal components environment.
- Valid forklift license advantageous
