Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced Marketing Technology Specialist based in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will optimise and manage our marketing technology stack, enabling data-driven strategies and seamless campaign execution. This hybrid role requires in-office presence three days per week.

Key Responsibilities and Output Areas Include:
- Technology Management & Optimisation: Oversee the day-to-day operation of martech platforms, including CRM systems, marketing automation tools, analytics platforms, and advertising technologies. Manage integrations, troubleshoot technical issues, and evaluate new tools to enhance capabilities.
- Campaign Execution & Support: Partner with marketing teams to build automated workflows, set up email campaigns, create audience segments, and implement tracking solutions. Translate marketing requirements into technical configurations and ensure campaigns are properly instrumented for measurement.
- Data & Analytics: Maintain data integrity across platforms, build dashboards and reports to track performance, and provide insights that inform strategy. Set up UTM parameters, track conversions, and analyse user behaviour across channels.
- Documentation & Training: Create and maintain documentation for processes and systems, train team members on martech tools, and serve as the go-to resource for technical marketing questions.
Key Requirements
- Experience: 3–5 years in marketing technology, marketing operations, or a similar role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, or similar), CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), Google Analytics/GA4, Tag Manager, and basic HTML/CSS. Familiarity with APIs and SQL is a plus.
- Marketing Knowledge: Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, campaign mechanics, lead management processes, and customer journey mapping.
- Analytical Mindset: Comfortable working with data, identifying trends, and translating metrics into actionable insights.
- Communication: Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate across teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with CDP platforms, A/B testing tools, attribution modelling, JavaScript, or marketing cloud platforms (Adobe, Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
- Certifications in relevant platforms are valued.
