Assistant Director: Therapeutic & Medical Support Services Job at Gauteng Department of Health

Requirements :

• A Bachelor.’ degree in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy or Audiology/ both dual or Social Work or Dietetics. appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South African (HPCSA)/SACSSP.
• A minimum of (5) years appropriate experience after registration council of which (3) years must be appropriate experience in Management

Duties :

• Provide leadership at Therapeutic and Medical support Services. Give input into formulation and the review of national and provincial legislation. Ensure that the services including risk management.
• Monitor utilisation of financial resources. ensure the comprehensive HR management and effective development of staff. Coordinate and ensure the promotion & marketing of Therapeutic Services. Submission of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports, stats and others administration duties.
• Establish good relationship with stakeholders within the hospital. Ensure continuous professional development activities. Implement quality assurance policies and develop appropriate quality improvement plan for the unit.
• Perform all other duties delegated by supervisor/ manager. Demonstrate the ability to use Health information for planning.
• Comply with the Performance Management and Development System (contracting, mid-assessment reviews and final assessment).
