• The Western Cape Blood Service is a non-profit organisation whose mission is to collect, process and distribute blood and blood products of the highest standards in the Western Cape.
• We are seeking an experienced, motivated individual to lead daily operations, drive team performance to achieve organisational goals.

Vacancy exists for  a Manager – First Line Processing & Inventory Control

(Paterson Grade C5)

Main Purpose:

• Maintain a sufficient and safe blood supply for the Western Cape
• Minimise product loss or wastage
• Lead, coach and motivate teams to achieve performance targets
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
• Support staff development and performance management
• Manage resources, schedules and workflows
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost efficiencies
• Communicate effectively and maintain a positive and productive environment.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Matric Certificate
• Medical Technologist qualification or equivalent with HPCSA registration
• Unendorsed driver’s licence/ reliable transport
• Previous supervisory experience would be advantageous
• Leadership and people management skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Problem solving abilities and the ability to work under pressure
• A willingness to work as part of a team is essential
• Computer proficiency with attention to detail
