What you’ll do:

• Operationally assisting all areas of the business in financial Decisions
• Update and maintain fixed asset register with all assets purchased with correct asset tag numbers
• Calculate depreciation per category of assets and process entries monthly Process salaries cashbook and balance bank reconciliation
• Ensure all month end journals are processed Raise all monthly provisions
• Finalise trial balance and complete balance sheet reconciliation Approve vat 201 forms to be submitted to SARS
• Prepare provisional tax forms the company and submit twice a year on time Assist in completing the ITR14 form and submit to SARS once reviewed by CFO Assist company with all SARS queries
• Taking ownership of the finance department and identifying and adress shortcomings be it in the people and systems

Other experience:

• Experience in the preparation and finalisation of accounts in accordance with current
• South African regulations
• Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
• A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
• Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
• Knowledge of strategic and financial planning including activity costing, benchmarking,
• Experience in budget preparation and reporting
• Exceptional Attention to Detail and a high standard of work ethic
• Must be deadline driven
• Must able to work under pressure
• Excellent MS office
