MFC Production Coordinator M3M4 (Middelburg) needed at Samancor Chrome

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

• To safely and accurately coordinate the DC Chrome process, tapping and casting bay activities.

SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY

• Identify and assess level of continuous risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes, etc.
• Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives, minimum requirements, etc.)
• Comply with SHEQ requirements (SHEQ Toolbox)
• Utilise the Integrated Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status

CUSTOMERS

• Ensure Customer Satisfaction as specified 

BUSINESS PROCESSES 

• Coordinate production activities
• Assist Production Supervisor on shift
• Assist with tapping and overhead crane activities
• Monitor and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions   
• Analyse and Interpret Production Process Data
• Make suitable recommendations to ensure process stability
• Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and incident investigations
• Implement RCFA findings
• Assist with First Line Maintenance tasks
• Participate in Process trials
• Work as a project team member
• Assist in developing Process training materials
• Report process data and statistics
• Achieve Continuous Improvement cost saving initiatives
• Be prepared to work in a dusty environment
• Work overtime as and when required
• Assist with any other related tasks

Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• N6 certificate for external candidates
• N3 qualification will be considered for internal candidates only
• 3 years relevant experience gained in a heavy industrial production environment
• Computer literacy
