Requirements
- National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineering Technician (Pr Techni Eng).
- 8 years or more relevant experience post qualification, in protection and control systems including the commissioning of high voltage primary plant and equipment.
- Must have a clear understanding of the IEC 61850 standard as well as substantial experience of protection testing under that standard.
- Appointment as a Responsible Person in terms of NRS 040 Switching Regulations.
- Computer literacy (MS Office).
- Driver’s license: Code B/EB.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS MAY INCLUDE:
- Required to work in all weather conditions.
- Required to work outside normal working hours during emergencies and overtime and will be required to do standby duties.
- Will be required to participate in the Essential Users Vehicle Scheme.
