Senior Technologist: NRL Haematology – Centurion needed at Ampath

Purpose of Position:

• To process specimens according to set criteria and standards on all benches in the Haematology Laboratory and to supervise the workflow.

Requirements:

• HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field, National Diploma: Biomedical Technology: Medical Technology (Required)

Required Experience:

• Experience in pathology laboratory environment, Knowledge: HPCSA regulations, Knowledge: Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with supervising the workflow on all benches to ensure the effective functioning of the laboratory, Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath, Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath, Make up reagents to ensure that efficient reagents are available to perform relevant tests, Perform administrative tasks in order to ensure effective administration systems in the laboratory, Perform health and safety related tasks in order to ensure a safe working environment, Perform Material Management tasks in order to ensure sufficient stock levels are maintained in the laboratory, Process specimens in order to ensure effective and efficient specimen flow in the laboratory
